King, September 4, 2011. The bellhop did an outstanding job preparing my room for our wedding night. I couldn't have done it better myself. We had a wonderful stay and hope we can come back. Oh and the breakfast was out of this world. Please thank the chef!

O'Malley, August 18, 2011. "From the moment Marc, the valet opened our car door to our early morning departure, we were treated with the most gracious Southern Hospitality we've so often heard about. Scottie (and others) assisted us above and beyond our expectations when we had a problem w our A/C. And the chocolate strawberries he made us were delicious! Also, Marc, the Valet from Prague was so friendly and helpful! Your entire staff fed us and watered us, helped us find our way around the Town and made our stay a true vacation. Your entire staff has a great knowledge of local history and sites and shared that with us, as well. You should be proud of each and every one of them. My husband couldn't wait to find out the breakfast special (so delicious)and the beautiful rooms were a great retreat at the end of a HOT day. We Northerners will be back for more of your Southern gentility!"

Everyone always had a smile on their face and they were very accommodating. The Vendue Inn made our honeymoon even more wonderful than we expected. I would definitely recommend the Vendue to any friends and family who will visit Charleston."

The accommodations were truly lovely, the bed was incredible and the food was delicious (LOVED the ice cold flavored water, the Innkeeper's Reception, the cookies and milk and the breakfast!), but it was the staff that made the stay special. Everyone we met was genuinely warm, caring and gracious. Requests and questions were met with immediate answers. From the bellman to the front desk people to the cleaning lady, who helped solve a squeaky door issue, each person was eager to help make our visit exceptional. My daughter was even given a card from the manager wishing her a Happy Birthday, making her feel very special. I have stayed in other four and five star hotels, but this was by far the finest experience I have had and it was all because of your staff. Not only because of their quick response, but because they honestly wanted us to have a memorable and enjoyable experience. Thank you to all involved. You succeeded in your efforts – our stay was outstanding and one we will treasure for many years to come."

"At the lovely Innkeeper's Reception, your Chef (The Library) was so enthusiastic about his job & love of food that we cancelled our dinner reservations elsewhere and ate at the Library. The Food, Staff, & atmosphere made for an evening to remember. We will definitely return to the Vendue Inn & The Library & look forward to it. Robbie - the concierge offered excellent tours and The Oak as the restaurant where my wife and I had our 25th wedding anniversary dinner.
